Since September 2011, Professor Thomas Bauernhansl has been director of the Institute of Industrial Manufacturing and Management (IFF) at the University of Stuttgart and director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart, Germany. Additionally, he was temporary director of the Institute of Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP) at the University of Stuttgart, from October 2012 until January 2015.
